A successful CEO leads by example. How you comport yourself–how you dress–how you behave — will in time be reflected in the people that work for you. You wear bright ties, they’ll wear bright ties. You wear tailored blouses and pencil skirts, they wear the same.
Clothes make the person. Sounds trite? Don’t believe it. To be sharp, you have to look sharp. Your employees will notice. No one admires a slob, no one follows a slob.
Your team will start to speak like you. Do you speak properly or do you use vulgar language? You’ll find out; just listen.
