At sometime, you will be replaced as the CEO, hopefully by someone you groomed, but your family will be your family. Don’t let your ego and drive screw that up. Members of your team, your board, your investors will not be at your side on your deathbed. They won’t remember who you are. Only your family will hold your hand.
Never ever lose sight of that. You, the CEO are being pulled in a myriad of different directions often with not enough hours in the day. Everyone and every thing is important, but when all is said and done, your family is the only real relationship you have. Treasure them.
